This Kmart was the fourth location in Connecticut, opening in 1975. This is only 3 years after the first one opened in Manchester, 1972.
This Kmart continued on, being renovated sometime in the 1990's. Then Kmart hit bankruptcy in 2002, and while other Kmarts' around the area shut down during the time, this one managed to stay alive. Now the store has made it to its 42nd birthday, and is still keeping its 1990's decor.
This location seems to be in the same shape as any other Big Kmart in the county, with a small plaza attached to it. Anyways, here are some photos of the Kmart from 2017:
